Ambassador of Turkey to India Fırat Sunel, on Monday, thanked India for sending emergency kits for the survivors of one of the deadliest disasters that has killed over 34,000 till now.
Taking to Twitter, he said, “Thank you India! Each tent, each blanket or sleeping bag are of vital importance for the hundreds of thousands of earthquake survivors.”
The official Twitter account of the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in New Delhi also thanked India for its help.

The two deadliest earthquakes that hit Turkey-Syria on February 6 have left thousands of people homeless and without any hope. Several countries, including India, have sent aid and relief materials to the quake-hit countries.
The Indian government, under its ongoing Operation Dost, has sent several search and rescue teams, materials, medicines, equipment and has set up a field hospital in Turkey.
At least 5,000 bodies have been buried as of Sunday in the mass cemetery of Turkey’s Maras. A large part of the pine forest was cleared to dig mass graves to bury the bodies recovered from the rubble of buildings flattened by a series of earthquakes in the country last week.
